Unless
booked at very short notice all bookings at Grants
will be confirmed, usually by e-mail. Please
check all details carefully. If anything is not
correct, please inform us immediately. All
prices quoted at the time of booking will be
honoured and are inclusive of VAT.
The
basis of your stay is shown on your confirmation:
dbb = dinner, bed and breakfast, bb = bed and
breakfast
and sc
= self-catering. If the basis is varied throughout
your stay, this is shown as "mixed".
Cancellations
We require a valid credit card to confirm all bookings
and will usually charge a deposit to the card
agreed at the time of booking. Grants reserve
the right to charge the card for cancellations,
without
exception,
as follows:
- If
you want to cancel your booking, you will receive
a refund of any money paid,
less an administration
charge of £5, if the cancellation is at
least 14 days prior to the start of your booking.
- If
your booking is cancelled within 14 days
of your arrival date, we will retain your deposit.
- Customers
will be charged the balance of the
first night of their stay for any bookings
cancelled within
48 hours of the arrival date,
which includes
customers
that do
not arrive
for any reason.
Arrival
Guests
may arrive after 4pm on the start date of your
booking and must vacate rooms by 10am on
your day of departure. Earlier arrival is available
by arrangement. If you will be arriving after
8pm on your arrival day,
please
let us know. Children
Grants
does not accommodate children under 12
years old in either the rooms or the restaurant,
which includes very young children and babies who
sleep in their
own
cots.
Facilities
Grants
has four bedrooms: one double and twin room in
the main house, and one double room (ben) and
one suite (but) in the but and ben, which is behind
the main house. For further information about the

please check our website.
Pets
One well behaved pet that sleeps in its own bed
is welcome at £5 per night. Pets are not
permitted on any of the furniture or the beds and
may not be left alone in the bedrooms. With
the
exception of guide dogs, pets are not permitted
in the restaurant. Grants reserves the right to
charge for any damage caused by pets staying at
Grants after a customer has checked out,
which includes any additional cleaning costs where
owners have not complied with the house policies.
Self-catering
information
For
guests staying in the but and ben on a self-catering
basis, if you do not arrive before midday on the
day after the start date of your holiday and you
have not contacted us, your booking will be treated
as being cancelled by you. You and all members
of your party agree to keep the But and Ben clean
and tidy, and in a similar condition as you found
it upon arrival. If you bring a pet with you, it
is not allowed on beds or chairs. Pets should not
be left unattended and dogs should be kept on a
lead within the boundaries of the property. You
must allow us, and any representative of ours,
to access the but and ben at any reasonable time
or in the case of an emergency.
Additional
services
We provide a number of additional services including
fresh flowers, chocolates and champagne on arrival,
and packed lunches. Please contact us for further
information including prices where applicable.
Grants at Craigellachie has a strictly no smoking
policy.
Directions
The turning for Ratagan is on the A87 between
Shiel Bridge and the Kintail Lodge Hotel. Having
taken the road for Ratagan and Glenelg, follow
the road for approximately one mile, going over
a cattle grid. Turn right at the next junction
and follow the road into Ratagan village. The drive
to Craigellachie is approximately 3/4 of a mile
from the junction and directly opposite the Youth
Hostel sign. Further information on how to get
